Why should I buy an electric cigarette?

Electric cigarettes are the best alternative to tobacco cigarettes ever invented. You can continue your smoking habit almost as you normally do. you get to inhale the vapor which feels and tastes just like real smoke so it won't feel like you have quit smoking at all. This means that there will be absolutely no withdraw at all.

Electric cigarettes do not contain any of the 4000+ harmful chemicals that are found in traditional tobacco cigarette which means you will no longer have to worry that you will eventually get ill and perhaps die from smoking. There is no second hand smoke so you don't pose a risk to people around you especially children. There is no bad odor that will stick to your clothes, hair, breath and your home.

Since it is not smoke but only harmless water vapor that does not linger and smell, you can smoke pretty much anywhere that tobacco smoking is not allowed.

What are the health dangers associated with electric cigarettes?

Electric cigarettes have been available on the open market since about 2004 and in this whole time there have been NO adverse reaction reports at all. Every other substance that is approved by the FDA has had some kinds of adverse reaction reports at one time or another including things like sugar, salt and every drug that has ever been produced by any pharmaceutical company, so you could say that ecigarettes are safer than everything.

The FDA does have a toll free hotline that you should call if you or anybody you know may have had any sort of adverse reaction to electronic cigarettes

So far there has not been one single call to this number to report anything bad about ecigarettes. the FDA desperately needs your help to find anything wrong with ecigs so that they can write a blatantly over-reactionary negative statement about them and spread it all over the news media to scare people away from this very safe alternative to tobacco because the companies who support the FDA do not like the competition.

Unlike tobacco cigarettes there are not 4000+ dangerous chemicals in ecigarettes. Ecig e-liquid only contains: water, nicotine, propylene glycol (or vegetable glycol) and flavorings. All of which are fairly non-toxic. Nicotine is the only questionable ingredient and that is only because it is addictive. The negative health consequences of nicotine are very minimal. The addictive qualities of nicotine are comparable to caffeine. In fact caffeine is probably more addictive because a caffeine addict will suffer from physical withdraw symptoms, sometimes to the point where they are debilitating. Nicotine withdraw is purely psychological.

I heard the FDA found carcinogens and anti-freeze in ecigarettes.

The FDA did tests on two different brands of electric cigarettes, both brands are considered to be inferior products among people who know about the quality of ecigs. The Smoking Everywhere Brand and The nJoy Brand. I recommend avoiding both of these brands since there are many other brands that don't suck!

The FDA did find trace amounts of nitrosamines which is a naturally occurring carcinogen in only one of the many samples tested. They conveniently omitted the facts that tobacco cigarettes contain 3000% more of this particular carcinogen and that there are higher levels found in many other products which are considered safe including: celery, peanut butter, party balloons and condoms.

They did also find trace amounts of diethylene glycol which is a toxic chemical found in anti-freeze among other things in only one of the many samples tested, again in a brand which is known to be inferior. While propylene glycol is an ingredient found in anti-freeze, it is not a toxic component and as a matter of fact it is commonly used as an anti-septic to sterilize the air in places like children's hospitals.

Any reputable company will test all of their batches of e-liquid before making it available to the public.
